Universal Studios, having a very ingenious team, creates their own version of an elaborate back-story for the horror icon Bloody Mary. Bloody Mary is said to be psychiatrist Dr. Mary Agana who used extreme techniques to cure her patients' phobias. She believed that the only way of curing phobia is to face it over and over again. Thus, Dr. Agana puts her patients in a room and locks them in with the subject of their fear while she watches from a two-way mirror. The patient, in intense terror of facing phobia, screams out the name of the doctor numerous times for help. What is even more disturbing about Dr. Mary Agana is that she has a phobia as well - fear of death. In belief of facing fear to cure phobia, she eventually kills her patients while they scream her name; hence the urban legend of Bloody Mary appearing in your mirror if you repeatedly say her name.
